Care Packages for Nightshift & New Livingstone Church

Since 2022, ANC Vancouver & JDEW Vancouver have prepared seasonal care packages for local street ministries. Food drives and donation campaigns from both churches have encouraged many people, young and old, to share God’s love with stigmatized populations.

Particularly in preparation for the colder Fall & Winter seasons, the care packages have essentials such as warm socks, gloves, and unperishable foods. Our youth & young adults carefully assemble them by hand with a personal note containing a Bible verse and a message of encouragement.

Here’s an excerpt from the New Livingstones Website:

Welcome to New Livingstones Christian Fellowship! We are a family based in Surrey B.C. (beside Gateway Skytrain Station) serving the homeless and the poor. In fact, we were placed here by God to serve everybody whom He sends us! We have had many blessings from the Lord through His people who came from all sorts of places including the Niagara Falls, Texas, and Syria!

A registered not-for-profit society, NightShift today has a volunteer base of more than 2,500 individuals, including community groups and church teams. Nightly outreach happens 365 days a year outside our offices on King George Boulevard, and several times a week in Langley. We offer meals, clothing, crisis counselling, basic nursing, prayer and loving community contact. The continuum of care includes ongoing, registered Christian counselling with sliding-scale fees, men’s and women’s support groups, Bible studies, extreme weather response, a daytime drop-in and much more.
