    Summary:

Money is a tool, not a goal, and the Bible teaches that financial stewardship is a reflection of our trust in God. Scripture reminds us that all wealth belongs to God (Psalm 24:1) and that we are called to be faithful stewards (Matthew 25:14-30). Mismanagement of money—whether through greed, debt, or lack of planning—can create financial burdens and spiritual struggles. Biblical financial principles emphasize generosity (Malachi 3:10), contentment (Philippians 4:11-12), wise saving (Proverbs 21:20), and responsible spending. True financial freedom comes not from accumulating wealth but from aligning our resources with God’s kingdom purposes and trusting Him as our provider.

    My financial goals

    1. Save 10% of my salary every month

    2. Take sinking funds seriously

    My financial struggles

    1. Impulsive purchases

    2. I don’t take savings seriously because I am so confident that I will never lack.

    3. I am inconsistent with my sinking funds.

    My financial strengths

    1. No compromises on bill payments and some fixed payments/financial priorities

I like the honesty! Saving & Faith go hand-in-hand – though we must indeed trust that God provides for all of our needs and that we will never lack, we must also be faithful stewards.

    Money Management!

    Problem: Absence of goals/No plan
I don’t have financial goals as of now. I do believe having goals would motivate me to work towards my money management.
Solution: Find or set divisions and set goals.

    Problem: Focus on God

Rather than relying on my money, I wish to trust and lean on God more. Easier said than done but I believe that giving could lead me to trust God’s providence.

Solution: Set a certain amount to give every month

Effective stewardship begins with awareness and acceptance that we need to set goals. Thank you for sharing!
